More About Hyannis
Hyannis is one of seven towns of Barnstable. It is situated in the Cape, 40 miles from Plymouth and 50 miles from Provincetown. As the Cape’s biggest town, Hyannis has the biggest grouping of organizations, shops, eateries, and amusement on the Cape. It is additionally home to the Cape’s busiest air terminal.
Hyannis Harbor offers fishing and cruising contracts, just as ships to the islands of Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard. Found close by is the John F. Kennedy Museum, which investigates JFK’s Cape years (1934-1963).
Leaving from Hyannis is a picturesque visit on board the Cape Cod Railroad. The two-hour visit passes cranberry lowlands, salt swamps, the seacoast, and Cape Cod Bay and Canal.
Hyannis Port is the site of the Kennedy Compound, the late spring home of the Kennedys.
