South Yarmouth is a census-designated place (CDP) located in the town of Yarmouth in Barnstable County, Massachusetts, United States. The population of South Yarmouth was 11,092 at the 2010 census. The CDP encompasses the southern portion of the town of Yarmouth, west of the Bass River, including the area along Route 28 south of the river where many tourist facilities and businesses are located. The town of Yarmouth is known for its beaches and is a popular summer vacation destination.
