Nantasket Beach is a public beach in the town of Hull, Massachusetts.
It is part the Nantasket Beach Reservation, administered by the state Department of Conservation and Recreation. The beach sand is a fine light gray and is one of the busiest beaches in the Greater Boston Area. At low tide, there are acres of tide pools.
Nantasket Beach has a rich and interesting history.
It was first used as a vacation spot by Native American tribes, and was later developed by wealthy Bostonians as a summer resort. In the late 1800s, Nantasket Beach became a popular destination for amusement parks, including Paragon Park, which operated until 1984. Today, the Nantasket Beach Reservation offers many amenities, including a boardwalk, restaurants, and of course, a beautiful public beach.
